The Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), has announced a 4-day Advanced Trekking Guide Training for licensed trekking guides from 8–11 July 2026.
According to the notice, the training is open to 40 licensed trekking guides with at least 2 years of field experience, and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The training fee is NPR 1,000, and applications must be submitted through TAAN-member trekking companies.
One highlight of this year's program is the proposed full-day session dedicated to Wellness Tourism in Himalayan Trekking.
The dedicated wellness session aims to help trekking guides understand how to integrate wellness elements into the trekking fraternity.
