Where to Find the Best Authentic Biryani in Kathmandu? Any recommendation please?

Namaste everyone,

I’m from India and currently working in Nepal. I’ve been craving some good, authentic biryani here in Kathmandu, but I haven’t found anything that matches the real taste of Hyderabadi biryani from India. Most of the biryanis I’ve tried here feel more like fried rice with chicken.

I used to visit Hyderabadi Biryani in Naxal often, but the taste has changed over time, so now I’m looking for new recommendations. If you know any places in Kathmandu that serve amazing, authentic biryani, please share your favorites. I’m a foodie and would love to explore new spots! 😊

I have tried Biryani at these restaurants in Kathmandu,​

Mela Restaurant | Naxal - 📍Map​

And they all served the good biryanis.​
The Mela Restaurant is a North Indian Themed Restaurant and its biryani uses a different spices than local ones You Should Try.​
Also, this restaurant played LIVE classical Hindi songs, you might want to join with LIVE singers. (with family dining tables)​

I highly recommend Mela Restaurant for its delicious biryani. I’ve been enjoying their biryani for several years now, and it remains one of my favorites.

Recently, I discovered a new spot near my home place name ' Saffron Durbar' that also serves excellent biryani, this new place offers equally flavorful biryani at a much more reasonable price compared to other restaurants.
