As a freshly licensed 16-year-old (just 50 days into my riding journey!), I wanted to experience my first offroad motorbike trip.
I am proud to have HONDA CRF RALLY and very excited to do a group tour to Chisapani.
After finishing my exams on a Thursday, I knew the weekend was perfect for hitting the road. A quick search led me to a Saturday group ride to Chisapani, organized by Turtle Adventure.
I signed up, excited to test my adrenaline on a thrilling off-road journey.
The Prep: Gear and Excitement
While I didn’t have full riding gear, I made do with a sturdy helmet, riding boots, and an unshakable enthusiasm for the road ahead. The Riders Squad: Bikes in the Group
Our group was a diverse mix of motorcycles, showcasing the passion and variety of riders:
- 2 Hero XPulse
- 2 XR190L
- 3 Honda CRF250L
- 1 Honda CRF300 Rally (mine!)
- 1 Husqvarna FE 350
- 1 Bajaj Dominar
- 1 Crossfire
- 1 CF Moto 450
- 1 classic 1998 Honda Baja 250 (one piece in Nepal)
The Journey
1. Meeting Point: ParknWash to Sundarijal
We started the adventure at ParknWash, Boudha, before heading toward Sundarijal. The 30-minute ride served as a warm-up for the rugged trails ahead.
Entry fees to the area were NPR 300, broken down as NPR 100 per person and NPR 200 for each bike.
2. Sundarijal to Dhap Dam
The real offroad began as we tried the off-road trail leading to Dhap Dam.It took us approximately two hours, including breaks into sightseeing. The scenic beauty at Dhap Dam was memorable, where the group gathered for a quick photo with a pristine man-made Dhap-Dam, seemingly natural.
3. Dhap Dam to Chisapani
A shorter ride from Dhap Dam brought us to Chisapani, where we sat for a quick lunch bite. The mountain views here were refreshing and spectacular already, forgetting the off-road adventure to a relaxed break.
4. Chisapani to Tokha
Returning to Tokha offered more green routes and a satisfying sense of accomplishment as we wrapped up the adventure.Final Thoughts
This ride was an unforgettable initiation into the world of motorbiking.
The mixed offroad trails, scenic beauty, and challenging ride made it a perfect first adventure for a young rider like me.I hope you enjoyed reading about this blog as much as I enjoyed riding it.
All thanks to 'Turtle Adventure' for organizing this ride.
