Why spiritual seekers may enjoy Naudhara

  • A centuries-old stone water spout with religious significance.
  • Sacred shrines and deities worshipped by the local community.
  • Calm surroundings away from the crowds visiting Godawari.
  • A peaceful spot for meditation, mindfulness, yoga, or quiet reflection.
  • Located at the base of Phulchowki, surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air.

A perfect stop before hiking Phulchowki

Naudhara also serves as a gateway to the hiking route leading up to Phulchowki (2,782 m), the highest hill surrounding the Kathmandu Valley.

A runner's paradise?

The road from Godawari towards Phulchowki is one of the most scenic uphill roads in the valley. Early mornings are especially beautiful, with light traffic, cool temperatures, and forest views, making it a favorite route for runners, cyclists, endurance athletes, and hill-training enthusiasts

Thousands of people visit Godawari every year—but how many realize they're walking past a centuries-old sacred place that locals quietly preserved?
