The Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) was founded in 1972 by the Government of Nepal under the name Hotel Management and Tourism Training Centre (HMTTC). This initiative, supported by UNDP and ILO, aimed to develop a proficient workforce for Nepal's emerging tourism and hospitality sector at that time.
