Last Saturday, February 1st, I had the opportunity to join an exhilarating ride organised by Turtle Adventure. This was my best ride so far, not just because of the breathtaking trails and intense off-road excitement, but also because of the incredible group of 20+ riders who made the journey even more thrilling.
I discovered this ride through Turtle Adventure's Instagram page, and the joining fee of NPR 1500 per rider included a delicious breakfast and a fabulous lunch at Captain Regmi's Farmhouse in Madanpur. The event was sponsored by Liqui Moly Nepal, Snack On Nepal, and Wildsportss, who provided us with stickers, face masks, and energy bars—a perfect addition for a long ride.

The call time was 7:00 AM sharp at The Garage Nepal, Naxal. By 7:45 AM, breakfast was served, fueling us up for the ride ahead. We officially hit the road by 8:45 AM.The Ride Begins
The Journey: Off-Road Challenges & Scenic Routes
- Our first destination was Suryachaur, a stunning viewpoint 50 minutes away from Naxal. We made a quick fuel stop in Tokha before arriving. Once there, we took a short break, snapped some group photos, and captured breathtaking drone shots.
- This was Turtle Adventure’s third organized ride, and my second time joining them. This time, the group had many talented and passionate riders, which made the ride even more special for me.
- From Suryachaur, we headed towards Kakani, tackling a challenging off-road trail that required solid off-road riding skills. The route was demanding yet rewarding, as we navigated through rough trails and stunning landscapes.
- At one point, we lost our way, adding an element of adventure to the ride! Since it was everyone's first time visiting Captain Regmi's Farmhouse, we had to rely on teamwork and navigation skills to get back on track.
- Finally, at 1:25 PM, we arrived at Captain Regmi's Farmhouse—a breathtaking property spanning 107 aana. The location was perfect for relaxing and refueling after the long ride.
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch break until 3:00 PM, then geared up for the ride back to Kathmandu. By 3:15 PM, we were back on our bikes, making our way home via Balaju Road. Unfortunately, due to ongoing road construction, we had to wait until 5:00 PM before resuming the journey. Eventually, we reached The Garage Nepal, Naxal, marking the end of an incredible day.Lunch & The Return Journey
This ride was a true test of endurance and skill, and it gave me a glimpse of how unpredictable these adventures can be. I was genuinely surprised to see a rider join the ride on a Yamaha R15, a bike not designed for off-road trails. Despite the challenges, they managed to keep up, which was impressive! If you're planning to join the next ride, be prepared—it might be even more challenging than this one.Final Thoughts
A huge shoutout to Turtle Adventure for organising this epic ride, The Garage Nepal, Naxal, for providing a free bike wash and breakfast, and Captain Regmi’s Farmhouse for their warm hospitality and delicious food.Special Thanks
