Travel to Bhairab Kunda, Nepal

Has anyone been to Bhairab Kunda recently?

I’d love to hear about your experience! If you have an itinerary, please share. Also, is it possible to camp along the trail? Any insights would be much appreciated!

Additionally, how far can we go by bike or jeep before the hike begins, and how long does it take to reach the Kunda on foot? How many days we should plan for the trip?

I recently took a two-day bike trip to Vairab Kunda. The journey started from Kathmandu to Daklang, where the road was in excellent condition. However, after Daklang, the off-road trail began. On the first day, we camped overnight at Bagam.


The next morning, we resumed our journey at 6 AM towards Chokormokar. Upon reaching Chokormokar, the hiking part of the trip began a two-hour trek up the mountain to reach the Kunda.

For those planning this trip, I recommend taking a jeep up to Chokormokar unless you're an experienced bike rider. Be sure to carry a toolkit and, if possible, ride solo for a smoother experience.
