For the past few years, I’ve been walking & running around in Kathmandu for fitness, but I didn’t know Khula Manch and Ranipokhari; these beautiful places were already open to the public. The fresh atmosphere around the small pond at Ranipokhari gives me a peaceful and energetic feeling. A walk around Ranipokhari is a perfect warm-up for the day. Interestingly, Ranipokhari used to open only during Bhai Tika of the Tihar festival, but now it is open every morning for a certain time. I only recently found out through the news, and honestly, it feels amazing to see this historical place becoming accessible to the public. News source: https://english.khabarhub.com/2026/16/544383/ A few days ago, I visited Khula Manch while it was raining. It was refreshing to see people jogging, doing yoga, walking freely, and enjoying the greenery. The blooming jacaranda trees have made Khula Manch even more beautiful and vibrant. I’ve noticed many people asking where to jog or walk in Kathmandu, so I wanted to share this place. It should definitely be at the top of your list if you are staying in Kathmandu. Please note: • Ranipokhari is open only in the morning from around 5 AM to 9 AM. • Khula Manch is open all day. I’m sharing some photos from Khula Manch and Ranipokhari. Start your mornings at these beautiful historical places in Kathmandu and give yourself some peaceful, stress-free moments. Happy walking :) Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gowithsujan/ Follow me on Strava: https://www.strava.com/athletes/62064979
