macbook pro 2020 and battery drainage!

i have a macbook pro 2020 core i5.
i want additional monitor.
my question will it burn the battery more than usual if additional monitor is connected to?
what do you suggest.

additionally,
will it also decrease the battery life of macbook?

Yes and No.
