Setting off on a long-awaited adventure, an overwhelming sense of excitement filled our hearts as my friends and I embarked on a journey of discovery to the mesmerizing Simba Falls which is about 40km from kathmandu located in Manikhel, Lele.
Our day began at 10 am from Thamel, accompanied by a delightful lunch at Bardev, which we reached around 12 pm. Equipped with the trusty navigation app, maps.me, which proved to be more reliable than Google Maps. Our primary objective was to reach Bhardev, renowned for its charming homestays and delectable dining options. However, the challenging off-road conditions added an extra layer of difficulty, extending our travel time to approximately 2 hours. Nevertheless, we remained determined and persevered, eager to uncover the hidden treasures that awaited us.
Suggested Route:
The recommended route to reach Simba Falls is Thecho, Chapaugaun, and Manikhel. Start your trip to Chapagaun, proceed towards Lele, Bhardev, Chaugharey, Gotikhel, and finally, arrive at Manikhel. Once you've reached Manikhel, it will take approximately 45 minutes of hiking reach the waterfall.

Around 12pm, we arrived at Bhardev, a haven for weary travelers. We had heard great things about 17 Jhyale Homestay and were not disappointed. The homestay offered a warm welcome and a tantalizing lunch featuring succulent sukuti and freshly caught trout fish from their backyard. We couldn't resist trying the fish, and for 1400 Nepalese Rupees per kilogram, we indulged in a mouthwatering fried fish feast.
