Over the past years, I have been living as a native tourist in my hometown, Bhaktapur, exploring its alleyways, studying its monuments, speaking with its people, and documenting the rhythms that make this ancient city feel alive.

Some evenings, I’d find myself wandering through hidden alleyways; other days, I’d step into old courtyards, uncover the stories of hidden monuments, listen to bhajans echoing from temples, observe local artisans at work, notice the intricate carvings on temples and houses, watch children playing in squares, or have conversations with elders who have lived here for decades.

With every one of these acts, Bhaktapur revealed a new layer — not just of history, but of its soul.

And somewhere along the way, a thought kept returning to me: these stories, these experiences, the soul of this city… shouldn’t be kept to myself. They should be shared.

So lately, I started curating the Heritage Walk “Know Bhaktapur”, a monthly series.

With immense excitement, I’m opening the doors for the 4th edition of this immersive experience.

If you’ve ever wished to see Bhaktapur beyond the usual tourist spots—to understand its hidden stories and quiet details—consider this your invitation.

Thank you.
